Nicolai Heering

Nicolai Heering's interest in business, capital and long-term value creation began long before his professional career.

Growing up, finance and economics were part of everyday conversation. His father served as a senior executive within Denmark's central banking system, and his signature appeared on Danish banknotes for many years. His mother worked at the Copenhagen Stock Exchange during an era when traders still communicated across the trading floor through hand signals and open outcry.

As a child, Nicolai was introduced to a world few people experience from the inside. Visits to Denmark's National Bank offered an early glimpse into the institutions that underpin financial systems, from the architecture and history of the bank itself to the processes behind currency, security features and monetary policy. These experiences helped shape a lasting fascination with capital, markets and long-term thinking.

Rather than pursuing a traditional career in banking, Nicolai chose a more entrepreneurial path. Over the past two decades, he has founded, developed and operated businesses across multiple industries, gaining first-hand experience of the challenges and opportunities faced by business owners, investors and project sponsors.

His professional journey has also been international. Having lived and worked in locations including New York, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Dubai and Spain, Nicolai has developed a broad perspective on business, relationships and cross-border opportunities.

Alongside his business activities, Nicolai spent eleven years competing at national-team level in sprint kayaking, an experience that reinforced the values of discipline, consistency and long-term commitment that continue to influence his work today.

Through HEERING CAPITAL, Nicolai combines an entrepreneurial mindset with a lifelong familiarity with finance and capital markets. The firm's focus is simple: connecting carefully selected real estate developers across Europe and the United Kingdom with appropriate funding partners, while building relationships founded on trust, discretion and long-term value creation.
